Dr Sarsha Francis
Sarsha returns to Healthpoint as an Osteopath. People may recall her as Remedial Massage Therapist, and a pilates instructor. She is now a mum and an Osteopath!
After living overseas for close to 10 years, she returned to Melbourne and spent a period of time caring for a family member. It was during this time that she became aware of the positive impact that complementary medicine and manual therapy could have in managing chronic conditions and pain. She went on to complete a Diploma in Remedial Massage at Sage Academic, a Diploma in Pilates and has now completed an Osteopathic degree at RMIT.
She believes that Osteopathy can assist in correcting and preventing a range of musculoskeletal disorders, and takes a holistic approach to treatment, focusing on assessing and treating the cause of someone’s pain, rather than just the symptom.
She uses a range of techniques such as deep tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, neuromuscular and muscle energy techniques, and aims to reduce pain and stress, whilst improving postural imbalances.
Sarsha hopes to combine all these skills to help patients live pain free, active lives.
